Behavioural activity data (e.g. sends, opens, clicks, suppression requests) is collected nightly from dotdigital for all email campaigns in all connected accounts.
Contacts in Dotdigital are uniquely identified by email address. Activities will be added in Donorfy for all constituents who have an email address matching the given dotdigital contact email. If two people share an email address, activities will be added to both records, as there is no way to tell from Dotdigital which constituent was involved.
Donorfy activities are added to constituent timelines for each of the following:
- Email sent to constituent
- Email opened by constituent
- Email clicked by constituent
- Email bounced (i.e. a hard bounce) when sent to constituent
- Constituent unsubscribed from email
Where a constituent has unsubscribed, any mapped Donorfy purposes will be set as Blocked and the constituent communications preference history updated accordingly.
An activity will be added to constituent timelines where a contact was suppressed in Dotdigital. The activity will show the reason for suppression.
Notes:
- Data is not collected from before the Integration Start Date specified for each account.
