Launched in 2021, JustGiving's Giving Checkout is a simple donate process that from the click of a button or scan of a QR code drops the donor right into the main donation payment flow.
Once the donor has completed the form and intuitive payment process, it will then be paid out to you as per JustGiving's payout schedule.
When paid out it is passed into the API where Donorfy collects it and adds it to your Donorfy, in the same way as other JustGiving Donations are added.
The data inserted is:
- Name
- Address
- Amount
- Gift Aid
- Contact Prefs (Purpose)
As JustGiving does not support Giving Checkout on its Fundraising Pages or Campaign Pages the individual's donation(s) will be added to Donorfy using the default settings within Integrations > JustGiving
The defaults include:
- Payment Method
- Product - Adhoc / Regular*
- Campaign
- Bank Account
- Acknowledgement
- Fund
- Department
* RPI is not added to Donorfy - only the regular transaction
Other details to note are that comments on donations will be added to the Transaction in the Comments section - you can use this to help identify which campaign or fund it needs to be added to and then manually amend the transaction thereafter.
The payout schedule is the same as the main integration, all recently paid out transactions will be added overnight each Thursday.
If you already have the JustGiving integration set up within your Donorfy, then all you need to do is to create your Giving Checkout page and add the button to your website or the QR code to your fundraising materials.
